How R can supercharge your ability to easily gather and analyze stock market and economic data
Saturday April 5, 2025 9:00am - 9:45am EDT
We've all been there: trying to compare different companies' stock performance, or pulling together economic indicators such as mortage rates, GDP variants or unenmployment for the region you cover. If you've been compiling it manually every time, this session will demonstrate how to use some easy-to-understand R code and a package called tidyquant to make things much easier. What's more, you can re-use it every day, month, or quarter, so that you never have to start from scratch again when you need the latest numbers for a story. No setup or prior experience with R is required - the session will walk through a demonstration and then give you the code to take home to play with afterwards.
